Mrs. Hayden (ECSE)

Hello, I am Ms. Sharlene. Although I was born an Army brat, I had the privilege of being raised in the heart of the Shenandoah Valley, Virginia, since I was seven years old. My path to teaching began as a senior in high school and brought me here to Las Vegas in December 2010. I love being outdoors, relaxing, and spending time with family and friends.

Hi, My name is Joanne. I was born and raised in Minnesota, so I’m a Midwest girl at heart! I’ve lived in Las Vegas for nineteen years and have enjoyed every minute of it. I enjoy making jewelry, baking and astronomy. I’ve been a teacher for seventeen years and have taught kindergarten, first, second and now resource. I have three degrees; a BA in child psychology, MA in Elementary Education and a MS in Special Education K-12. Currently, my dad lives with me and we enjoy road tripping in his Tesla on the weekends.

It is with great excitement that I join the Tobler Family this school year. I am originally from New Hampshire but have lived in Las Vegas since 1993. I am married and have 2 teenage daughters who are my pride and joy. We love to travel, take vacations and spend time together.  This will be my fifth year teaching Primary Resource. I spent the last 4 years at Helen Smith Elementary in the same position.  I have a masters degree in Special Education and a Bachelors in Public Relations. I am looking forward to building lasting relationships with my students and their families as I know that ongoing communication is fundamental to student success.

Hello! My name is Sara Miranda. I was born and raised in Lakewood, California.  I have been living in Vegas for almost 16 years and I would not change it for the world. I love to read and to craft on my Cricut when I have time. During the week and on weekends you will usually find me on the soccer field watching my three boys play soccer.

Hello!  My name is Edith Vargas and I service the Early Childhood Programs and K-5 Speech and Language students here at Tobler ES.  I was born and raised in the Windy City, “Chicago” but I now call Las Vegas my home.  I am happily married, have two daughters, and a spoiled cocker spaniel.  I enjoy going to concerts, watching “da Cubbies” and our Golden Knights with my lovely family.  I look forward to an exciting school year with your children.
